Wilko Risser, brother of Town captain Oliver, was due to join up with Swindon for training today, the Advertiser understands.
The 6ft3ins striker, who was most recently playing in Germany, first arrived in England just over a week ago for a trial at League One Oldham.
Risser was then invited to play in a friendly match for Southend on Monday, and the Namibia international impressed as he scored a goal and won a penalty.
Now, though, it is understood that he has hooked up with the Town squad and is taking part in training with the rest of the players today.
