HIGHWORTH meet Binfield in their final game of the Hellenic Premier season tomorrow, and manager Dave Webb believes his side will face the same opposition in the final of the Challenge Cup.

The Elms side will finish either fifth or sixth in the division if they beat their visitors, who take on Headington in the semis of the Challenge Cup on Monday.

Binfield have already won the Floodlit Cup and the Berks Cup Senior Trophy this season.

And Webb said: “We’re likely to face them in the cup final. They are obviously a good cup side and I think they will have too much for Headington.

“We’ve had a couple of wins back-to-back that have got us up to sixth, and we want to try and secure that, and we need three points on Saturday to do that.

“It would be disappointing if we didn’t do it, and a win would give us some momentum heading into the cup final.”

Ritchie Saunders, Sean McKeon and Josh Parsons are likely to miss out through injury tomorrow, while Ben Snook is suspended.

Elsewhere in the Hellenic Premier, Fairford host Wantage with the former side needing external factors to keep them in the division.

In Division One West, Malmesbury are short of manpower for their visit to New College with Rhys Owen and Sam Jenner suspended, while Ed Wilkins is away.

And boss Simon Winstone admits he may be forced to make his second cameo of the season if the situation does not improve.

He said: “We’ll scrape together a side, but with our injuries and suspensions we’re now struggling to fill a bench.

“I might have to dust the cobwebs off my boots again.”

New College are able to welcome back Josh Skeates, Ryan Stanners and Todd Hathaway.

College first-team coach Rob Hopkins said: “It’s a case of whether we go with the lads who played last week or we bring back the other players.

“We won’t make a decision until after training on Friday morning.”

Meanwhile, Cirencester Dev travel to champions Tytherington and Purton welcome Brimscombe, while Cricklade make the journey to Easington.
