SWINDON boss Paolo Di Canio has targeted winning the League Two title after securing promotion at Priestfield this afternoon.

A goal from Danny Kedwell and two from Chris Whelpdale saw Town lose 3-1 despite a strike from Alan McCormack, but results went Town's way and promotion was secured.

Three points next weekend at home to Port Vale will now see Town lift the League Two title, and that is now Di Canio’s focus.

“Promotion is an amazing feeling and I am very happy for all of the fans that we were able to celebrate,” he said.

“But now we must win the title.

“Four teams go up from this league, but only one can be champions, and we want to be the best.

“Today is a great feeling and I am happy for everyone. We have much work to do, but we must be happy.”

“But if we keep going like we perform it will be difficult to become champions. We have to celebrate, but they do not have to go out and be drunk.

“You can celebrate with one, two or three glasses of red wine or champagne, but why go drunk? I do not understand it. You can not feel and live your moment if you go blurry, I do not see why, and I prefer to stay cool.

“I want to feel the atmosphere and celebrate with my family.”
