MATT Bown and Chris Brown stole the show at Wootton Bassett Town’s senior presentation evening as the club celebrated a successful 2011/12 season.
Bown lifted both first-team player of the year awards. The midfielder was Bassett’s stand-out performer, top scoring with 18 goals as his side narrowly missed out on a promotion spot in Hellenic League Division One West.
Youngster Brown scooped the reserve team manager’s player of the year and polled the most in the players’ vote for the Wiltshire County Youth Floodlit League North Division runners-up.
Reserve team captain George Drewitt, who helped guide his side to a fourth-place finish was voted that team’s players’ player. Lewis Petrie, meanwhile, took the manager’s prize for the under 18s.
Erk Ates was presented with the clubman of the year trophy for his efforts behind the scenes and his contributions to the club’s youth section.
