PHIL Smith has confirmed that he is set to leave Swindon Town after his current deal expires this summer.

The goalkeeper joined the Robins from Crawley in July 2006 and went on to make 132 appearances in all competitions for the Wiltshire club.

Smith wrote on Twitter: “Gutted to be leaving swindon after 6 years thank you for all the support and wish all the players and staff all the best in the future.

“And thank you to jeremy wray for showing me some respect and making the phone call.”

Meanwhile, Smith's fellow keeper Mark Scott also faces a search for a new club.

The Advertiser understands Scott too has been released, and the stopper appeared to confirm as much over Twitter this afternoon.

He wrote: "Just wanna say I've enjoyed every minute and I'm really guna miss Swindon. Thank you to everyone the support has been great #back2backpromo."
