SWINDON MANOR men’s 2016-17 campaign in the east region of the Wessex League finally gets under way tomorrow.

Manor should have played their first game last Sunday against Oxford City & County but the match was postponed and re-arranged for November 6 as all the streets in Oxford city centre were closed while the Oxford half marathon was taking place.

Rodbourne Cheney-based Manor meet Banbury Cross tomorrow, with two rinks at home at the Manor and two rinks away in Banbury.

This fixture holds fond memories for the Manor club, providing them with their first League triumph in 2015-16 campaign after a winless 2014-15.

Manor cast away the wooden spoon in the last campaign, finishing eighth in the ten-team league, only a point behind seventh-placed Chipping Norton.
