HORSESHOE ABC boxers have galloped through the ABA senior novices’ in the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire section.
James Townsend boxed superbly to gain revenge on his opponent from Synwell ABC in Wotton-under-Edge in a semi-final bout.
When the pair met last it was close contest, but this time Townsend out worked the Synwell fighter and when at long range, he slipped and bobbed under the jabs.
The Gloucestershire boxer had a brief moment in the last round when he caught Townsend and doubled up well , but it was too late to make an impression.
Townsend will meet Moussha Mabbood of Yeovil in the final to try and book a place in the Western Counties Finals.
In a Glos/Wilts final, Jack O'Reilly looked like having a tough task ahead of him against Damon Goodbare. from Weston-super-Mare.
But O’Reilly was too strong for Goodbare and booked his place in the Western Counties Finals on Saturday in Devizes.
