HARRISON Pearson impressed as he fell to a narrow defeat to the talented Great Britain junior Albie Samways of Golden Ring Club.
Pearson took the bout to Samways and constant pressure with good shots to the head saw Samways receive a standing eight count.
The home boxer came back at Pearson in the second but in the final round the Horseshoe fighter pinned Samways in the corner.
However, Pearson was caught by a counter jab that saw him receive an eight count too and after the bell Samways was given the nod.
Isaac Douglas picked up a stoppage win, while Kayden Connolly travelled to Reading and defeated Joel Garritt on a split decision.
