KEITH Mayo has cancelled his New Generation show on Saturday night.

The Greenbridge-based boxing promoter, who was putting on the show in association with Neilson's Boxing, pulled the plug on the event overnight.

The show was originally meant to be headlined by rising welterweight star Ryan Martin, but the undefeated 21-year-old was forced to withdraw following a shoulder injury last week.

Mayo then moved super-middleweight Kelvin Young to the headline act, however, a foot problem saw the 28-year-old pull out last night.

In a short statement, Mayo said: "I'm sorry, but due to injuries I've had to cancel the show on Saturday, June 27."

The cancellation of the show also deprives Swindon-based 2002 Commonwealth Games javelin bronze medallist Kelly Morgan of her professional debut, while Akeem Ennis-Brown and Bryn Wain were also set to make their bow in the paid ranks.
