CIRENCESTER ABC kick off their season in Bristol on Friday with three of their boxers in action – Thomas Varey, Raymond Jones and Ethan Frayling.

They have all got byes to the Western Counties finals in the National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs Championships but are still boxing on the show.

Varey will be going for his third Western Counties title in a row, while team-mate Jones is also a Western Counties champion, however, unbeaten Frayling will be having his first taste of the championships.

The Cirencester camp then head to Wolverhampton on November 18, while on the same day, several of the fighters will be in action in Wales.

The club have relocated to the Active 4 Less gym in Dyer Street this season.

Club coach Simon Knowles said: “A big thank you must go to Tom Boswell and Jamie Davis for finding us new premises as without them, the boys wouldn’t be boxing this season.’’
