JASON Frayling has been crowned the new Minors 46kg champion at the England Boxing Schools Championship Finals in Manchester.
The Cirencester ABC youngster faced an unbeaten opponent in Michael O’Regan from 2nd City ABC, however, Frayling dominated with some fine combinations and was first to the punch to take a unanimous points decision in the final.
Coach Simon Knowles said: “That’s three occasions in a row that we have had boxers in three different national finals - Jason was outstanding and he well deserved it.”
Frayling’s place in the final came after he stopped R Curtis from Allcomers ABC in the semi-final.
The writing was on the wall from the opening bell as Frayling took the fight to his much taller opponent, who received a standing counting following an onslaught from the Cirencester boxer.
The second round saw Frayling catch his opponent with two and three-punch combinations forcing the referee to step in and stop the bout.
