A packed Premier Club watched an evening of white collar boxing on Friday night with 15 excellent fights taking place.

Watched by a sell-out crowd, the main event of the evening was between the sons of two of Swindon’s biggest boxing names Eddie Neilson and Keith Mayo.

Mark Neilson easily outpointed Dean Mayo, winning every round and was handed the Fighter of the Night trophy.

The event raised significant funds for Pancreatic Cancer and Charlie Dawson who suffers from a muscle disorder and needs to raise enough money to buy a new wheelchair.

Organiser Eddie Neilson was delighted with how the night went, saying: “This is the third Neilson Promotions event and they are getting better every time.

“There were some excellent bouts and some great skill and courage on display.

“With such good support, we will be able to make significant donations to our nominated charities as well as supporting Charlie Dawson towards his financial goal for his state of the art wheelchair.”

One of the other top contests of the night saw Tony Neilson draw with Ben Robinson.

Tony Neilson said: “I would have preferred a win but I am delighted to be part of these eagerly anticipated white collar boxing events. We are already putting plans together for another show in March.”
