NATIONWIDE House will find it difficult to record their fourth consecutive victory in their battle to beat the drop in the Wiltshire Division this weekend as they travel to current league leaders Potterne.

They made history last week in their convincing victory over Malmesbury, with it being the first time the club managed to field the same eleven in consecutive games.

However, they will not be able to extend that streak. Holidays have forced captain Joe Perkins to wring the changes, with Nathan Sheffield and Tom Hamilton stepping into the breach.

Perkins is confident they can do the job though. “Both have been in fine form for the seconds and it gives them a chance to challenge for permanent selection with the firsts.”

He added: “The bowling attack is again unchanged after another superb display last week where early and regular wickets were again taken.”

And their bowlers will have to be on top form if they are to avenge an eight wicket defeat against he leaders eariler in the year.

Elsewhere in the division, Purton will be looking to return to form when they travel to Great Bedwyn, a team they could leapfrog in the table, while Marlborough host Goatacre in a tasty top of the table clash.

In the second XI division, Goatacre could go top if they beat Marlborough at home.

However, they’ll need a favour from relegation candidates Nationwide House, who welcome back Chris Sharpe and Darren Milne at the top of their order and will need them to produce if they are to beat leaders Potterne.

Purton will be looking for only their second win of the year at home to fellow strugglers Great Bedwyn.
