SWINDON Spitfires Under 15s resumed their Wiltshire Women’s & Girls League campaign with a 9-1 demolition of Derry Hill.

Spitfires were on the attack from the start but it took 15 minutes for the deadlock to be finally broken when the ball fell to Lucy Scrannage.

A further three goals were added by Swindon before half time and the floodgates opened fully in the second period.

Emily Bowdidge, Shannon King and Charlie Tinson each netted twice, with Freya Sullivan and Tamzin Davis getting one each.

Player of the match was shared between Iona Kamugisha and Emily Povey Meanwhile, Spitfires Under 14s played host to Oxford City in the Oxford Girls League, winning 4-3.

Aime Prinzi led the charge for the Spitfires, blasting a hat-trick for the home side.

Chloe Neate added the other to wrap up a comfortable triumph.
