LIFE for Dave Webb’s Swindon Supermarine side does not get any easier this evening as they travel to Salisbury.

Having lost 3-0 to Hereford a week ago and followed that up with a 5-0 defeat to Taunton Town in the FA Trophy, Marine travel to a team many have tipped for promotion.

Despite Steve Claridge’s side currently lying in 11th in the Division One South & West table, Webb knows his side must be back to their best.

“We talked about it at the start of the season, the teams who would be in the top six and Salisbury would have been in everyone’s list,” said Webb.

“They have had an indifferent start but they have got Steve Claridge and it is a big football club so they are going to move their way up the league.

“It is just a matter of him getting it right long-term but they pushed Chippenham all the way on Saturday (in the FA Trophy).

“It’s an extremely tough game after what has been a difficult weekend but all we can do is try and improve.

“I know this group of players, I know how good they can be. They are either going to move on and put it right or we’ll have another difficult night.

“Hopefully that character I know is there will come to the front because it needs to.”
