SUPERMARINE joint caretaker-manager Gary Horgan has insisted tomorrow’s trip to Brackley Town is no more daunting than any other Southern League match, despite the hosts’ fine recent form.

Brackley have won four of their last five, scoring 14 goals without reply in the process, but Horgan said Marine need to relax and play their own game as they look for a positive result to help them to a top-10 finish.

“They have hit a bit of form and maybe if they had not had a bad start they would be looking at the play-offs and even Conference South,” said Horgan.

“But it’s a nice pitch down there and we have to go and look to play our football.

“If we can get six more points this season that should mean we get into the top 10, and after what’s happened in the second half of this season that would be good for us.”

Marine will be without goalkeeper Will Puddy, who is not expected to return to the first-team fray before the end of the season.

The same applies for Ashan Holgate, whose knee problem looks likely to keep him out until the summer, but Mitchell Bryant returns for Horgan and fellow joint-boss Matt Robinson.

Elsewhere in the division, Cirencester Town travel to Cambridge City.
