SWINDON’S Richard Voaden and Fairford’s Dave Roberts were in action as the Honda V-Tech challenge series moved on to Snetterton over the weekend.

Qualifying saw Voaden start his powerful car from second place on the grid, while and Roberts began in eighth.

Both races were competed over a duration of 20 minutes and in each race 14 laps were finished. Race one saw a good tussle between Voaden and Robert Burkinshaw with Burkinshaw just taking the race win by 0.12 seconds from Voaden.

Roberts had a good tussle with Mark Cheese, with Roberts finishing in fifth place overall. Voaden did have the consolation of the fastest race lap in his class - a lap of 1:24.88 for an average speed of 84.14mph.

Race two saw Voaden pick another battle with Burkinshaw but this time Burkinshaw did not finish due to a mechanical problem so Voaden took a well deserved win.

Roberts had another good race and came safely home in sixth.
