WANBOROUGH’S Louise Hunt clinched a National Wheelchair Tennis Championships double to round off her 2014 campaign at the weekend.

Hunt, the British women’s number three, blitzed past opponent Val Fisher 6-0, 6-0 to win her first national women’s singles title at Oxstalls Sports Park, Gloucester.

The 23-year-old and Laura Coteman then beat Debbie Brazier and Fisher 6-0, 6-1 in the women’s doubles final as Hunt earned her sixth national doubles crown.

“After winning a string of national doubles titles I’m really happy to finally get my name on the women’s singles roll of honour and to finally be able to call myself national champion,” said Hunt.

The Wanborough ace recently finished her season last weekend when claiming the women’s doubles title at the Prague Cup Czech Indoor event.

“It’s a nice way to be able to go into 2015 and after winning my last international doubles title of the year last weekend in Prague it’s a pretty successful end to 2014,” she added.
