TONIGHT’S Raged MMA show at the MECA in Swindon sees one particularly special bout between two locals getting back in the cage after lengthy breaks.

Swindonian Terry Webster takes on Dave ‘Nemo’ Llewellyn, who is now based in the town, and for both fighters it will be their first clash in three years.

What marks out this heavyweight contest is Llewellyn, a unique MMA fighter in that he only has one arm.

The 26-year-old, who was born with meromelia of the right arm, started his MMA career a few years ago, but that was curtailed by a snapped anterior cruciate ligament.

Llewellyn is now ready to return and looking forward to getting back in the cage.

“I feel pretty cool, relaxed, I just want to go now,” he told the Advertiser.

“I’ve done a normal fight camp, trained how I train and now I’m ready to fight.

“It’s been really good and I feel the improvements coming back in training, getting back to where I was before the injury.

“My confidence in the injury has grown in the camp and having it tested, really helps.

“The arm is not a disability it’s more of an advantage, I’m going make sure he feels it.

“I don’t like using it to get me places but I do like using it to get an advantage over a opponent. I use it as an elbow, instead of a punch.

“I’d also like to thank my sponsors Protein Pirates, as well as JPS Roofing and Building Services for their support.”
