JAZZ Carlin warmed up for her women's 800m freestyle medal bid tomorrow by helping Great Britain's women to fifth in tonight's 4x200m freestyle relay final.
The Swindon swimmer clocked the fastest leg for the British team of 1:56.35 as their combined 7:50.60 left them narrowly behind Sweden in fourth place and 1.5 seconds adrift of the Chinese quartet.
Britain, who also included Siobhan Marie O'Connor, Rebecca Turner and Hannah Miley in their team, had qualified seventh fastest from the morning heats, in which Carlin did not swim.
The USA quartet won gold in 7:45.37, with Italy taking the silver medal.
Carlin, fourth in the women's 400m freestyle on Sunday, goes in the fourth of five heats in the 800m tomorrow morning, with the final taking place on Saturday night.
