TEENAGE racer Max Cook will compete in Round Five of the Motostar Moto3 GP series at Snetterton, Norfolk this weekend.

The 13-year-old from Swindon, who was crowned Aprilia Superteen Champion in 2015, continues to make the best of his development year in the British Superbikes support series.

On his ReplicastUK Honda, Cook has shown solid form in a series of top-10 finishes, including a fifth place at Brands Hatch in late May.

Cook endured a torrid weekend during Round Four at Knockhill, as during Q2, he crashed out at speed, leaving him and his team with repair-work and analysis to do.

Race day saw Cook slip from sixth to ninth in the championship standings after 11th and 12th place finishes in the two heats.

Cook said: “Nothing prepared me for how difficult it was when I rode the circuit for this first time. So far I’ve had a brilliant start to my BSB season and I know it can’t go brilliantly all the time.”

“I’m looking forward to Snetterton this weekend. I had a test day there recently and got to try it out in both wet and dry conditions.

“This is a circuit I know so I’m hoping to get some good results and climb back up the table.”
