MORE than 50 competitors descended on Cricklade on Sunday for the annual triathlon around the town.
A combined total of 72 athletes took part in the sprint and Olympic disciplines for men and women.
The participants who entered the sprint competition would have to complete a 400m swim, 19km cycle and finish with a 5km run.
While, those who opted for the standard Olympic discipline would have a 1500m, followed by a 38km cycle and a 10km run.
Holly Sibbich-Ferrar claimed top spot in the women’s event with a time of 2 hours 34 minutes 37seconds, while Peter Lewis took the men’s crown in 2:20:14.
In the sprint section, it took Lizzie Rayner just over an hour to finish with a time of 1:04:49, Gavin Wedlake was slightly faster, but was unable to break the hour-mark with 1:00:59.
