Wonder dog Romeo Expert lost his unbeaten record in the semi -final of the 63rd Produce Stakes at Blunsdon on Wednesday evening - and may struggle to retrieve his reputation in tonight’s final (9.55pm).

His conqueror Eye Eye Pickle is poorly drawn in trap three but, in what looks like a very competitive race, Burwood Freddie can take full advantage of being the only wide runner and lift the £15,000 first prize for Oxford trainer J Mayo.

This evening’s top class final is complemented by four open races over various distances.

Likely winners include Heavy Weather in the Swindon Stayers over 685 metres at 9.25pm, Aint Got Time in the Swindon 509er at 8.55pm and Brickfield Class in the Swindon Standard at 8.25pm.

Tonight’s action at Blunsdon starts at 7.25pm with 13 races in all.

Swindon Advertiser readers can take advantage of the voucher offer run in conjunction with the Abbey Stadium, featuring complimentary admission and a drink.
