NATIONWIDE secured their first win in the first division of the Indoor Cricket League when they defeated Civil Service in a thriller.

Mark Vincent made 44 as Nationwide successfully chased 140, with the winning runs coming off the penultimate ball.

Earlier Stuart Paige made a rapid 44 not out for Civil Service.

Nalgo ran out comfortable winners against Wanborough 1st by 26 runs, Mo Beale top scoring with 32 in their total of 124-3.

A tremendous game in Division Two saw Shrivenham record a two-wicket win over Nalgo 3rd with a ball to spare.

Nalgo were sitting pretty when they smashed 155-2 (Joe Jenkins 47 not out), before Shrivenham responded in kind, thanks to Mark Whale's 50 and Dan Lloyd's unbeaten 41.

Wroughton beat New Generation by 79 runs. Set 125 to win, New Generation were dismissed in less than five overs.

In Division Three, Swindon 2nd proved far too good for Minety as Mark Gumm rattled up 45 not out in their total of 126-4.

In reply, Minety were never in the hunt and closed on a paltry 65-5.

Ramsbury 2nd's good start to the season continued when they defeated United Churches by 18 runs.

David Navais made 38 not out in a total of 114, and despite 46 from Andy Gilchrist and 35 from Martin Trewhella Churches came up well short.

Wanborough 2nd put up a brave fight against Shrivenham 2nd in Division Four before losing by just six runs.

Woodlands' good start continued when they easily defeated Motorola by 41 runs, despite Mark Hadfield's 32.
