DAVID Howell moved into contention at the KLM Open after a fabulous seven-under third round today.
The Swindon ace recorded eight birdies and a bogey in his round of 63 as he moved from three-under to ten-under overall for a share of 15th place.
That is still six shots off the lead at Kennemer Golf Club in Holland after England’s Lee Slattery and Spaniard Rafa Cabrera-Bello both also shot 63s to head the field at 16-under.
Broome Manor pro Howell will look to haul himself into the top 10 – or better – when he tees off at 10.39am in tomorrow’s final round.
