SWINDON’S David Howell will be looking to build on a mixed bag in the United Arab Emirates when he tees off in Doha this morning.
The Broome Manor pro looked to be in contention for his first top-10 finish of 2016, sitting tied eighth heading into the weekend at the Abu Dhabi Golf Course, but back-to-back rounds of 73 saw him drop to tied 35th come the close of play on Sunday.
Howell tees off in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters at 7.40am local time alongside German Marcel Sium and Australian Nathan Holman, starting on the back nine of the Doha Golf Club.
The 40-year-old, who has picked up just over €160,000 from his five outings this term, will be looking to improve on his tied 25th finish he managed at the same tournament this time last year.
