SEVEN Swindon Hockey juniors have been selected to represent the West of England at various age levels.
Daisy Mussard has been called up for the girls under 15s, Chloe Lewis for the under 16s, Gael Little for the under 18s and Shona O’Dwyer and Patricia Woods-Annan are both involved in the under 17 squad.
In the boys’ sections, James Lewis has been summoned to the under 18 set-up and Peter Gilbert to the under 17s.
Each will now play some part for the region against the other representative areas of the country in the annual England Hockey HiPAC tourmanent in October.
Swindon vice-chairman Craig Sage was delighted with the news, saying: “It is a really exciting time for junior players at our club. We have a thriving junior section that has been successful in developing players at all levels.
“Having six players from Swindon representing the West of England is a significant milestone for the club and is a great return for all the coaches involved. I want to personally congratulate the players and commend the coaches for their hard work and dedication.”
