SWINDON Ladies got back to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Redland UWE to keep them second in Premier 2A.

The visitors were the first to score from a penalty corner after only three minutes but a reverse stick flick from Adrianna Bollousa levelled the scores.

The game stayed evenly balanced for most of the first half, with Swindon player-of-the-match Julie Lewis thwarting the opposition regularly, as well as making penetrating runs from deep.

Swindon were rewarded just before half-time when Gemma Scrase's pass found Vicky Stokes in the circle, who shot first time to make it 2-1.

Within two minutes of the second half, Stokes bagged her second and Swindon’s third when she pounced on a rebound from a Bollousa shot.

As Swindon dominated possession, they started to create regular scoring opportunities.

Charlie George scored Swindon’s fourth from a rebound when a Stokes' shot was saved and finally, Swindon’s youngest player, Chloe Lewis, smashed a loose ball into the net to make it 5-1.
