TWO late goals condemned Swindon ladies to a 2-1 defeat at Bristol University in Premier One.
After being placed on the back foot for the opening 20 minutes, the visitors stole the ball from Bristol and worked upfield to forward Chloe Lewis, who held her composure to lob the home keeper and give her side the lead.
The second half was played in much the same way, as Swindon defended against a quick and innovative University team.
After the home team were frustrated for 25 minutes, they did find the net from a penalty corner to level the scores.
This triggered a strong Swindon period, the visitors regularly pressing Bristol as chances fell to Swindon’s Adriana Boullosa and Emily Arrell, but they were unable to convert.
From one attack, Swindon were unlucky not to win a penalty corner, and then, from a breakout, Bristol travelled the length of the pitch to score with only minutes left, with that effort proving the match-winner.
