WITH the return of Jonas Hoog to the Link Centre competition for places is as fierce as ever.

Coach Ryan Aldridge is now in a position where he will have to leave out one of Hoog, Jan Kostal, Henri Sandvik, Tomasz Malinski or Kenton Smith every week.

And with Aldridge expecting everyone to be fit this weekend, despite Shane Moore missing training on Thursday while he still recovers from a dead leg, the choice will be tough.

“I don’t think the players are ever going to get used to it, it’s not a nice thing probably for them,” said Aldridge.

“It is good for me to have the type of competition, but for them it is good in a way because it is going to make them play their best but nobody ever wants to be missing a game, so it is always tough when someone has to sit out.”

“I’ll be making my decision on that after training every Friday night.”

Swindon face Telford Tigers tonight at the Link Centre having finally won a league game in front of their home fans last week and Aldridge is hoping to build on that.

“It is going to be the first tough game in a couple of weeks,” he added.

“I think we needed last weekend as a confidence boost, it will be good for us to play an in form team in our building and we seem to raise our game for the better teams.

“I don’t think they have lost a game since we beat them, so we have got to be very smart defensively and take our chances when they come.”

Wildcats then face Milton Keynes away on Sunday night.
