STEVIE Lyle has left his post as head coach of Swindon Wildcats the club have announced this morning.

The former Great Britain netminder had only been in charge at the Link Centre since the start of the campaign following the departure of Ryan Aldridge.

The shock announcement comes hot on the heels of the arrival of Jonas Hoog this week.

The 35-year-old Welshman first joined Swindon three seasons ago following a year with English Premier League rivals Basingstoke Bison.

Forward Aaron Nell has taken charge of the team on a temporary basis.
