PUMAS moved five points clear at the top of the Under 14 South One League with a weekend double, writes DAVE EATON.

They thrashed Haringey Hounds at home 15-0, then 24 hours later at Milton Keynes scored a last-gasp winner to win 3-2 over Milton Keynes Storm.

Pumas are now the only unbeaten side, apart from Romford who have only played two games.

Swindon coasted to an easy home win over a limited but spirited Hounds.

It took Pumas five minutes to open the scoring as Zach Sullivan struck a stunning shot from the blue line with Jack O'Donnell and Sam Godfrey assisting.

The next shift saw Jack Waller net from Josh Dolphin and O'Donnell for a 2-0 lead. Sagee Abuebid added a third with the help of Floyd Taylor and Nyle Clinton.

Before the first break Jordan Smith added a fourth following good work by Lewis Nell and George Havard.

Pumas continued to call the tune in the second period and added a further six goals.

O'Donnell notched a hat-trick with additional strikes coming from Godfrey, Abuebid and Taylor.

In the third and last session the goals continued to flow.

Dolphin added the 11th and Nell the 12th on the powerplay.

The one-way traffic continued as Sullivan struck his second of the game and O'Donnell his fourth.

Jack Waller ended the rout with Pumas 15th goal just before the final buzzer sounded.

n A dramatic winner with only 36 seconds left saw Pumas home at Milton Keynes Storm.

The goal ended the 100 per cent record of the home side, who boast three international players in Tom Mboya, David Carson and Ross Tippets.

MK Storm took advantage of two power play opportunities at 7.45 and 12.49 to move into a 2-0 opening period lead, Mboya and Carson scoring.

The second period saw Pumas step up their momentum and it eventually paid off at 24.25 through Jack O'Donnell.

Still trailing going into the final period, Swindon exerted immense pressure and pushed hard to get on terms.

They were rewarded at 36.49 when Jack Waller levelled after good work from Floyd Taylor and Nyle Clinton.

Pumas then conjured up one final chance for Sam Godfrey to strike the winner with 36 seconds left.
