NATIONWIDE C team got the 2nd half of their season off to a flying start with a 43-17 success over Abbey Meads B.

Nationwide C opened up a 14-goal lead by half-time, which increased to 21 by the end of the third quarter before rounding off the win in the final session. Goal shooter Georgina Brain was Nationwide player of the match.

Bassett A started the second half of the season off with a 49-41 success over Croft, with goalkeeper Vikki Yule taking the player of the match honours following some great interceptions.

In Division Four, Bassett B edged out Lawn D 46-40, with Banita Mudhar named as player of the match.

Bassett’s C team put in a strong defensive display to defeat Purton B 41-27, with goalkeeper Annabel Hosking awarded player of the match.

Purton A hung on in their match with Moredon B to claim a 35-31 win, despite having an 11-goal lead at half-time. Jody Jeffries was player of the match for the victors.

Abbey Meads were unable to prevent Burmah C claiming a 49-11 success, despite the best efforts of goalkeeper Maulie Chew.

Lawn C showed strength throughout their 46-35 victory over Nationwide. Goalkeeper Florrie Green received player of the match for her good defending.

Lawn D were edged out 21-19 by Wootton Bassett, with goal attack Holly Atkins taking the player honours.

Holly Thompson’s best efforts for Lawn A against their Croft counterparts were not quite enough as her team suffered a 54-40 defeat.

Lawn E didn’t get off to a good start against Melksham in Division Five and they were unable to recover as they lost 51-20. Goalkeeper Jade Young was player of the match.

Lawn B suffered a one-point defeat to Corsham, who ran out 37-36 winners with Charlotte Clinton taking the player of the match award.

Lawn regional league side suffered a 55-34 defeat at home to Bath, with goal shooter Abbie Simpson named player of the match for consistency within the circle.

Lawns junior regional squads both had matches this weekend, with the U14s beating Keinton 39-30, while the U16s beat Plymstock 48-33.
