SWINDON head coach Sean Lynn wants to see his side make amends for their 32-26 home defeat to Reading when they welcome Witney to Greenbridge Road on Saturday.

The South West One East outfit were unable to prevent their visitors from claiming their first win of the campaign.

But while many will be surprised that Swindon ended up on the wrong side on the result, Lynn was well aware of the Reading threat.

“They came to us having lost their games by seven points or less so I knew that it was going to be tough,” the head coach said.

“I told the boys that we needed a big first 20 minutes, but Reading came at us and got an early score.

“We know that we have got to be winning our home matches if we want to be competing at the top.

“We have got a chance to put that right on Saturday against Witney, but that isn’t going to be easy.”

Tom Mannion, Olly Wilson and Adam Westall, who also kicked three penalties and one conversion, all crossed the whitewash for Swindon.
