SUPERMARINE Ladies put in a fine performance at Plymouth Albion in the Women’s Championship South West Two.

While the South Marston girls didn’t manage to pull off a win, they returned home with a 5-5 draw, to keep them third in the table.

Marine dominated the first half of the game, with front row Amy Walford scoring her first try of the season after 15 minutes from a rolling maul.

The Wiltshire side is scrummaging was consistently good and they controlled the contact area well as they took a 5-0 lead into the break.

After the interval, Marine continued with their solid defence, making numerous cover tackles and stopping the strong Plymouth attack.

However, the Devon side managed to find a way through the defence mid-way through the half to score an unconverted try.

Despite good work from both the forwards and backs, Marine were unable to find a match-winning score.

On Sunday, Marine host second from bottom Teddington.
