SWINDON College Old Boys head coach Mark Lea will set out to ensure his side are not robbed of the points this weekend.

College return to Berks/Bucks & Oxon Premier action following their cup exploits last weekend as they travel to Crowthorne, formerly Broadmoor Staff.

Lea’s side are yet to taste defeat in their 12 league outings this year, having dropped down from Southern Counties North last season.

With a 15-point cushion at the summit already, College look set to march to the league title at a canter but Lea admits they cannot take their eye off the ball or risk being punished.

“In this league, you have got to be on your guard the whole time because any team is capable of beating you, there is no easy game,” he said.

“We know what they are about. We know who their dangers are. They have got a good fly-half, who’s their coach, and they gave us a good game down here but it is a game we should target another win from.

“We’re just looking to keep the momentum and keep playing in the style that we finished the game last Saturday.”

“They were good team tries and I would like to see us doing that again against Crowthorne.”

It was a tight affair when the two sides met last, with College edging it 24-12, but Lea believes his side have come on a lot since then.

Having seen his team put Slough to the sword to reach the final of the Southern Counties Senior Vase last week, Lea is hoping for more of the same as he continues to be impressed by the teamwork shown by his troops.

“What’s been pleasing this year is the manner in which we have won games,” he added.

“We haven’t just had one person who is exceptionally stronger than the other team run through them, we have done it in a structured way.

“That is going to hold us in good stead for next year.

“The lads have really bought into that and the confidence is good.”

Meanwhile, Supermarine have a tough task on their hands in Dorset & Wilts One North as they travel to second-placed Warminster looking to put an end to a run of seven games without tasting victory.
