SWINDON Robins boss Alun Rossiter revealed that a bust-up in the pits between Nick Morris and the Belle Vue Aces' Richie Worrall left a sour taste in the mouth as his team lost their final Elite League meeting of the regular season.

Swindon roared back from a yawning early chasm to get their hands on a point as they were beaten 48-44 by the league's basement boys in Manchester last night.

The Robins' Morris got the better of Richie Worrall, the twin brother of Swindon reserve Steve, in heat four but Rossiter says that a confrontation between the two put a dampener on proceedings at Kirkmanshulme Lane.

“Nick got tangled up with Richie Worrall, which was a bit stupid,” said the Abbey Stadium chief.

“I didn't understand Richie's problem, Nick passing quite clean, and there was a bit of a scuffle in the pits.

“I didn't think that did Nick's head much good after that – it was a bit stupid really.

“It's something that's been brewing and he needs to get his head sorted, Richie Worrall. There's no need for that.

“It was getting a bit stupid and the trouble is, if something like that keeps simmering, someone will get hurt and it needs to be stopped.”
