SWINDON Robins co-promoter Colin Pratt has told Jason Doyle to hand in a transfer request if he wishes to leave the Abbey Stadium.

The Robins asset was rumoured to be returning to ride for the Alun Rossiter’s side next year but he was announced earlier this month in the Leicester Lions’ line-up for the 2015 season.

The Australian was on loan with the Lions last term but Pratt has said that the Robins are after a full transfer this time - but the fee has become a sticking point.

“When it is confirmed that he has put his transfer request in, then it will be a full transfer,” said Pratt, who wants to use the funds to finish building his team.

“If you don’t want to ride for Swindon, you should put in a transfer request. That is the correct procedure and it will be dealt with by the promoters and who he is going to.

“I met David Hemsley (Leicester’s promoter) and we agreed that if he puts that in, then we’ll do it. But we need paying for him because we need to purchase another rider. We’re trying to sort it out, but we can carry on, the same as Leicester can carry on, even if we haven’t agreed a fee.

“If it comes to that and the fee is not agreed, it will go to a BSPA arbitration hearing prior to the start of the season.”
