SWINDON Robins’ Elite League clash with Poole Pirates this afternoon has been postponed and rearranged for Thursday, April 14.
Alun Rossiter’s Robins, who suffered a heavy 61-31 defeat at the hands of the Pirates in their season-opener on Good Friday, were due to renew hostilities with the reigning Elite League champions at the Abbey Stadium at 5pm today.
But Saturday’s heavy rainfall and today’s forecast have put paid to this afternoon’s contest, with the Robins’ Blunsdon track left sodden.
Swindon’s first home meeting of the 2016 season will now take place when Coventry Bees visit Wiltshire next Thursday (tapes-up 7.45pm).
