ALUN Rossiter has challenged Troy Batchelor to right his wrongs in tonight’s grudge match at Poole – as the Robins boss looks to give his former club a timely play-off warning.

The Swindon outfit travel to the south coast tonight with an Elite League play-off place already guaranteed but Rossiter knows a rare victory at Wimborne Road could provide a “valuable shot in the arm”.

The league leaders have already enjoyed four wins over Swindon this season, including two successes at Blunsdon, but Rosco is confident a morale-boosting win could be on the cards.

He has tipped skipper Leigh Adams to continue his solid form at Poole and, with youngster Jurica Pavlic already having a huge impact, Rossiter knows Batchelor will be key.

He said: “Troy has not had the best of times at Poole this season and that is quite surprising because it is one of his old clubs.

“But he was back to his brilliant best the other day and if he can carry that into tonight then we have a really good chance of winning.

“Leigh is always solid at Poole, Pavlic has been flying and Mads normally goes well, so Travis McGowan and Troy will be key for us.

“It has been a bogey track for us this season so we know it will be a tough place to go but I really don’t see why we can’t upset them”.

A quick return to Poole for the forthcoming play-offs could also be a possibility and Rossiter believes success tonight could prove a huge psychological boost.

“We could have to go there in the play-offs,” he said. “If we could let them know we are coming for them then that could really work in our favour.

“They have beaten us twice at our place and there is a bit of pride hinging on this meeting. We want to show them we are a force and we need to show them we can beat anyone on our day.

“We know we are in the play-offs already but we still want to go to Poole and perform well. The top two is still a target and we want to keep the momentum going.”

Richard Sweetman will continue for the Robins in the absence of Manuel Hauzinger.
