ALUN Rossiter has admitted it is “highly unlikely” that Leigh Adams and Matej Zagar will both be part of the Swindon Robins line-up next season.

The duo finished the season on impressive averages and team boss Rossiter has revealed that the chances of getting the high-scoring pairing back together for another campaign are remote.

“It’s highly unlikely we would go with Adams and Zagar because of the high averages they have got,” said Rossiter.

“You could do it but it would make us a bit vulnerable in the lower order. I’m not sure we would go down that line.”

However, Rossiter refused to confirm that the pair would definitely not be reunited at the Abbey Stadium in 2010, saying: “We won’t rule anything out.”

The revelation will lead many to speculate that Matej Zagar will be the rider to be sacrificed, if one of the pair does not return.

Adams has already revealed he wants to stay at Blunsdon and it is widely expected that the Aussie will sign again.
