WILTSHIRE swimmers Craig Harris and Stephanie Millward will attempt to book a place at the Rio 2016 Paralympics when they compete in the British Para-Swimming International Meet this week.

The duo will join the very best para swimmers from across the country at the five-day meet at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow, with the event serving as a selection qualifier for the Games.

Swindon Dolphin teenager Harris is a three-time British record holder and won a bronze medal in the 200m individual medley in his SM14 class at the IPC European Championships two years ago.

Millward, who is a member of the Aquae Sulis club in Corsham, will be one of the most experienced competitors in Glasgow.

The 34-year-old won five medals, four silvers and a bronze, at London 2012 and will be determined to book her spot at Rio this week as she hunts that elusive Paralympic title.

Millward won four gold medals at the 2013 IPC World Championships, although she did not compete in last year’s event.
