THE Belford brothers are enjoying each other’s company as they share training sessions for the first time as professionals.

With younger sibling Tyrell out injured over the last few weeks Town picked up older brother Cameron to fill in as Wes Foderingham’s back-up.

Cameron has a short-term contract with the club until the end of the season. It means for the first time since both siblings were at Coventry, when Tyrell was in the youth teams and his older brother was an apprentice, the Belford brothers are at the same club.

Cameron has not had a professional club since he left Bury in 2013 and was most recently at Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic. He is enjoying being back in full-time football, especially alongside his little brother.

“I’ve settled in brilliantly, it helps that my brother’s here,” Cameron told BBC Wiltshire.

“There’s a good group of lads here and they’ve made me feel very welcome. I wanted some time out of football and it’s nice to be back, the lads have helped me settle in and the staff here have been brilliant.

“I think there are still things I learn off Ty and we both learn off each other. I’ve been situations that he hasn’t experienced and it helps that I can give the advice that I can.

“There are situations I’ve been in that I’d do differently and I reiterate that information to Ty and make sure he keeps on the right path. He’s going in the right direction as it is and he’s got a great attitude.

“We’ve never trained together really, the only time we’ve trained together is with our old man, who used to be a goalkeeper, in the summer doing sessions.”

Tyrell clearly enjoys having the opportunity to learn from his older brother as well as Town number one Foderingham.

“In terms of training it’s good to train with two experienced goalkeepers it couldn’t have worked out better for me,” said Tyrell.

“We work every day in training, I think we have a good balance between our banter and our work. It’s vital that we’ve got two goalkeepers who are very experienced and I can learn off both of them.”

As for the injury that has seen his older brother take his place, Tyrell is on the road to recovery.

“I’ve only trained the last couple of days, I’ve not really had a full week of training like I’d like to, but it’s feeling better now,” he added.
