PREDICTIONS LEAGUE:   Rochdale v Swindon

Tricky one to call. Rochdale are currently in seventh place and four points outside the play-off places. They will be desperate to get into the top six and have a chance of reaching the Championship. Rochdale have only ever been promoted three times in their history; 1969, 2010 and 2014.They have never played in the second tier of English football.

A win for Swindon and we will be assured of a play-off spot ourselves and will help to restore the recently dented confidence and help to gain momentum on the back of the win at the weekend.

A win will keep alive the chance of an automatic spot, but realistically automatic promotion is probably beyond us. We need others to do us a favour against Preston and MK Dons.

But let’s face it, if I’d had said at the beginning of the season that the Town would finish in the top six, let alone the top four, with a chance of automatic promotion with 6 games to go, many would have said not a chance, you’re deluded, relegation fodder at best. Others, not many, would have bit my hand off in the scramble to the bookies.

Yet here we are.

Come on lads, let’s give it one big push over the remaining games and see where we finish.
