GOALKEEPER Lawrence Vigouroux has been recalled from his loan spell at Swindon Town by parent club Liverpool, according to reports.

Vigouroux started Town’s opening eight League One fixtures of the campaign but was dropped to the bench for Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Colchester United because of a ‘disciplinary internal matter’, said to be turning up late for training.

He was spoken to by manager Mark Cooper and senior players about his attitude but the Mail Online are reporting Vigouroux then turned up with his fine in bank bags full of pennies.

BBC Wiltshire announced this morning that the 21-year-old’s time at the County Ground has now come to an end and he has subsequently returned to Anfield.

It is unconfirmed whether the incidents are connected.

Vigouroux was less than two months into a season-long loan stint in Wiltshire, having impressed at Town during a trial over the summer.

His departure leaves Town chief Cooper short of options in goal, with Tyrell Belford the only senior stopper on their books ahead of tomorrow's trip to Doncaster Rovers.
