ADVER Sport's Tom Bassam hands out his ratings from Town's 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United.

Lawrence Vigouroux: 6

Made a number of good saves to keep his side in it, but he needs to organise his distribution from goal kicks better, Town waste it too often.

Raphael Branco: 8

Scored a much-needed goal and defended well. Will have been disappointed to see his back line concede so softly from a set-piece.

Adam El-Abd: 7

Solid at the back and reliable in distribution. He handled Madden and McSheffrey well.

Jordan Turnbull: 7

Doesn't always get out to his man quick enough on the left, but otherwise defended well as part of the back three.

Bradley Barry: 6

Not bad in his first outing at wing-back. Needs to be firmer in the challenge. 6

Anton Rodgers: 4

Seemingly never in a position to help his teammates and when he did get the ball did little with it. The only bright spot was one free-kick which went narrowly wide.

Drissa Traore: 6 (booked)

His passing lacks purpose at times, but he brings tenacity to the holding midfield role.

Ben Gladwin: 7

Town's biggets threat going forward, no surprise he created the second goal with a great ball to Ajose.

Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill: 6

His crossing greatly improved, but the youngster still lacks strength going forward.

Jonathan Obika: 6

Decision making was not always great and he was the least potent Town attacker.

Nicky Ajose: 7

Took his goal well, again showing his ability to get in behind which Town don't do enough with.

Substitutes

Wes Thomas: 6 (On for Obika, 74)

He looks a proper striker and his return is an undoubted boost. A couple of long sprints show his hamstring is fine. 6

Fabien Robert: 6 (On for Gladwin, 80)

A couple of cheeky efforts show what he can bring to the side. Rodgers should be worried about his place.
