SWINDON Town have extended Yaser Kasim, Jonathan Obika and Michael Smith’s contracts by one year, the club have confirmed today.

The trio all had one-year options on their current deals, which were due to expire this summer, but Town have chosen to activate those, meaning they will report back to the County Ground next season.

The club have also taken up similar one-year options on youngsters Bradley Barry and Ellis Iandolo.

James Brophy has signed a new two-year contract with Town, keeping him at the club until 2018, while Jamie Sendles-White has put pen to paper a permanent one-year deal, having originally signed on a short-term basis until the end of the season back in March.

Tom Smith and Miles Storey have also been offered new contracts and the club remain in negotiations with the pair.

Seven players have been released by the club following the expiration of their contracts, with Frenchman Fabien Robert leading the list of departures.

Drissa Traore and Jeremy Balmy have also been let go, as have youngsters Lee Marshall, Josh Cooke and Jamie Calvin.

Lawrence Vigouroux, Jordan Turnbull, Louis Thompson and Michael Doughty have all returned to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan deals.

Club captain Nathan Thompson, Tyrell Belford, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill, Anton Rodgers, Jordan Stewart, Nicky Ajose, Jermaine Hylton, Raphael Rossi-Branco, and Jake Evans all remain under contract at Town.
