LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 8
Carried on where he left off against Bolton a week ago with another fine performance, which was capped by a stunning penalty save.
DARNELL FURLONG – 8
Did not let the switch to a traditional full-back role halt his attacking intent and was an excellent and threatening outlet for his side up the right.
NATHAN THOMPSON – 8
A calm and composed figure at the back. Dealt well with the physical threat of Elliott and carried the ball forwards well too.
CONOR THOMAS – 7
Recovered from a knock last week and did not look out of place in an unfavoured position for him. Unlucky to give away the penalty.
JAMES BROPHY – 6
Showed real discipline not to rush forward and leave his colleagues short-handed at the back and did his job solidly enough.
YASER KASIM – 7
His deeper position did not allow him to bomb forward as much as he would like but he was key in starting Town attacks from further back.
ANTON RODGERS – 5
Stayed deep to help give his defence extra cover but was outshone by Kasim next to him and did not have much impact on the game.
ELLIS IANDOLO – 7
Looked really lively early on and some nice skill caught out the Dons defence but faded in the second half. An encouraging run out.
SEAN MURRAY – 6
Showed good intent and the formation meant he did not have to track back so much but like his colleagues, was not clinical enough in the final third.
JOHN GODDARD – 6
Combined well with his two team-mates in the advanced midfield three but did not do enough to provide a creative spark.
NATHAN DELFOUNESO – 5
Worked hard as the lone striker and tried to hold the ball up for his team-mates but did not really get much off a sniff in front of goal.
Substitutes:
LUKE NORRIS – 5
(For Delfouneso, 66) Did not see a lot of the ball during his 25-minute spell and failed to add the spark his side needed.
BRADLEY BARRY – 5
(For Iandolo, 83) Good to see him back on the pitch after a while out but no time to make an impact here.
Not used: Henry, Smith, Evans, Twine, Ouldridge.
