Adver Sport’s Dan Barnes hands out his player ratings from Swindon Town’s 4-0 defeat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon.
Lawrence Vigouroux
Was never going to have a quiet afternoon at Bramall Lane. Made a number of stops but will have nightmares about the Mark Duffy effort he let squirm through his clutches and into the net. Booked. – 5
Darnell Furlong
Used his pace well to defend at times but could do little to halt the Blades’ ruthless second-half assault – 5
Raphael Branco
After a solid first period, unravelled along with his team-mates in the second half. Booked. – 4
Lloyd Jones
Just like Branco, looked shell-shocked as the Blades ran riot in the second period – 4
Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill
Was full of energy early on but soon found himself under the cosh – 5
Anton Rodgers
Didn’t keep possession ticking over like he usually does. Rodgers was guilty of giving the ball away on numerous occasions times – 4
Conor Thomas
Found it tough to deal with the movement of United’s midfield and lost his man time and again. Booked. – 4
John Goddard
Neat and tidy at times but did could do little to make Town an attacking threat – 5
Michael Doughty
Usually so influential, the Town midfielder looked well out of sorts in the first period and was replaced at half-time – 5
Luke Norris
Was shifted around into numerous positions and didn’t have much joy in any of them – 4
Jonathan Obika (C)
Provided a focal point but the game largely passed him by – 4
Substitutes
Jermaine Hylton (on for Doughty, ’45)
Will be glad to be back in a Town shirt but his run-out was a quiet one – 4
Nathan Delfouneso (on for Obika, ’62)
Introduced soon after Town went 3-0 down but could do little to spark a fightback – 5
Tom Smith (on for Goddard, ’68)
Was introduced with his team already well-beaten – 5
