STEVE Robertson has stepped down as the manager of Swindon Town Ladies, it was announced today.
Robertson, who has led the Town ladies side for three seasons, revealed he felt the time was right to step away following the conclusion of the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division campaign.
He enjoyed a successful spell at the helm, guiding Town to promotion from South West Division One in 2015-16 and although their campaign at the higher level this season proved more difficult, Swindon finishing second from bottom, the club are expected to remain in the division for next term.

In a message via the club's Twitter account, Robertson - who himself has played men's football for Royal Wootton Bassett Town in recent seasons - said: "After enjoying three seasons with Swindon Town Ladies I have made the tough decision to step down as first team manager next season.
"It's been an amazing journey however I feel now is the right time to step away.
"I came into this role with a three-year plan and feel that the team and I have achieved all goals set.
"I have had some great experiences along the way, including promotion, player development, cup success as well as lots of learning.
"The players have been nothing short of excellent in their commitment and effort, they are a credit to the club.''
